A. This website and who operates it
These Terms of Service govern industrialcleaningservice.co.uk, the website operated for Industrial Cleaning Services, whenever you visit, browse or use it or submit information through it. Using the website, sending an enquiry or asking for an introduction to a supplier means you are agreeing to them.
This website is operated by Industrial Cleaning Services. Our contact address is Suite 114b Business First, Davyfield Road, Blackburn, Lancashire BB1 2QY.
This website accepts enquiries about industrial cleaning, including the cleaning of plant, bunds, tanks and production areas. Industrial Cleaning Services may introduce those enquiries to independent suppliers or contractors that could assist with the work.
What the website contains is general service information, contact routes and enquiry forms. Details submitted may be reviewed by us, and we may pass the enquiry to whichever third-party contractor, supplier or service provider we believe may be a suitable fit for the work.
B. Our connector role and how introductions are paid for
Industrial Cleaning Services acts as a connector. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we do not attend site as the appointed contractor, carry out the physical work, operate plant or equipment or transport waste, nor do we provide regulated industrial, silo, tank, drainage, cleaning or disposal services ourselves through this website.
Submitting an enquiry through this website costs the customer nothing, and there is no cost for being introduced to a supplier either. Suppliers or third-party companies may pay us commission, referral income, marketing fees or sales income, but that commercial arrangement adds no fee to the customer for using the website.
C. Limits of an introduction, opening hours and emergencies
Introductions depend on the information we have at the time. We do not guarantee a supplier’s availability, its acceptance of the job, completion within a particular timescale, or a price that will meet your expectations.
We may rely on your details in deciding which supplier appears to be a good fit for the job. That gives no guarantee that it is the only suitable supplier, or the cheapest or best one, for every circumstance, and the decision whether to instruct it remains your responsibility.
Normal opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:30pm. We may be available out of hours for emergency work when a suitable supplier is able to respond. An emergency enquiry does not guarantee that attendance will be immediate, and while awaiting a supplier’s response you should take appropriate safety, environmental and site-control steps.
D. Your site, your cleaning job and your conduct
You are responsible for making sure that what you tell us or a supplier is accurate, complete and current. For an industrial cleaning job this includes confined-space concerns, known contamination, hazards, the waste description and quantities, access limits, height or lifting constraints, the site address, the drainage layout, photographs and any deadline that affects the work.
Where a supplier is introduced, you must give it the information it needs to assess the job scope, site access, environmental risk and health and safety. That may include Safety Data Sheets, waste codes, tank or drainage plans, permit information, induction requirements, site-specific rules, previous survey results, parking arrangements and photographs.
A supplier may refuse to proceed if the site conditions turn out to differ from the information provided, if there is a safety concern, if required documentation is missing, or if the work falls outside its insurance, permissions or competence.
You must not submit information you do not have permission to share, confidential third-party information without authority, or anything false, misleading, unlawful or abusive. Nor may you use the website in a way that interferes with its operation or attempts to gain unauthorised access to supplier information, data or systems.
E. Supplier quotations, contracts and responsibilities
Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, the parties to any order, booking, site visit, call-out, estimate, quotation, supply contract or service contract are you and the supplier. You must read the supplier’s own terms, and agree them, before you authorise work, and you should check the supplier’s credentials and terms before instructing it.
The appointed supplier is responsible for its own quotations, advice, licences, permits, insurance, risk assessments, method statements, staff, vehicles, equipment, site attendance, work quality, aftercare, consignment documentation and waste transfer documentation. It also controls cancellation terms, minimum charges, prices, attendance windows, emergency call-out arrangements, additional work, permit requirements, waste charges and disposal routes. If the scope changes after a supplier has looked at the site, that supplier may change its quotation or decline the work.
F. Independent suppliers and liability
Suppliers are independent third-party businesses, not employees of Industrial Cleaning Services. Unless the law says we cannot exclude that responsibility, we are not responsible for any supplier’s regulatory compliance, waste handling, documentation, advice, pricing, delays, acts, omissions, staff conduct, work quality, damage or loss.
Problems that come up after you instruct a supplier should go straight to that supplier, as soon as possible. It is the supplier’s responsibility to investigate and resolve issues connected with its quotation, attendance, work or aftercare.
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, which includes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation and for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, our role extends only to operating the website and, where appropriate, making introductions. Once an introduction has been made, any claim, cost, damage, delay, loss or dispute between you and a third-party supplier is not our legal responsibility, including where it relates to the supplier’s contract terms, payment terms, attendance, advice, work or service quality.
G. Website content, availability, enquiry details and intellectual property
Pages here give general service information only. Nothing on them amounts to engineering, environmental, health and safety, legal, insurance, tax, waste-classification or regulatory advice; where a job calls for advice, obtain it from the appointed supplier or a competent professional. We try to make the content clear and useful, yet give no promise that any page is current, complete or suitable for every site, because operational requirements, supplier availability, guidance and laws may change.
Any part of the website may be changed, suspended, updated or withdrawn by us at any time. Nor is there any guarantee that the website, telephone lines, enquiry forms, email routes or supplier-matching process will be available at all times or run without interruption.
Information sent in an enquiry may be used by us to reply and to introduce that enquiry to a suitable supplier. Personal information is covered in more detail by the Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, both linked from this website.
The relevant rights holder either owns or is licensed to use the logos, branding, design, text, page layouts and other materials on the website. Pages may be viewed and printed for your own internal decision-making. Without permission, you must not scrape, copy, sell, republish or reuse substantial parts of the website.
H. Changes, governing law and contact
From time to time these terms may be updated by us. The newest version published on this page governs each use of the website, and carrying on with the website once changes have been published counts as accepting the updated terms.
The laws of England and Wales govern these terms, with the courts of England and Wales having jurisdiction unless consumer protection law gives you a mandatory right to use another court.
Questions on the website or these terms can be sent using the details published on the Contact page. Where a question relates to a supplier’s work, approach that supplier first, as the quotation, the work and the aftercare are all under its control.
