Cladding Cleaning

Cladding cleaning for industrial and commercial elevations, using methods suited to panel coatings, joints and safe building access.

Cladding Cleaning enquiry

Cladding cleaning removes accumulated surface dirt from industrial and commercial buildings. We assess the panel finish before choosing the treatment, particularly where a faded elevation is being prepared for inspection or repainting. Cleaning can improve appearance, but it will not restore a coating that has already failed.

Panel coatings, joints and seals

Factory-finished metal panels have maintenance limits that must guide cleaning chemicals and contact methods.

Access and washwater

Building access, nearby openings and contaminated runoff are controlled during washing.

Panel coatings, joints and seals

Factory-finished metal panels have maintenance limits that must guide cleaning chemicals and contact methods. Panel laps, window seals and ventilation openings also affect washing direction. Concentrated spray can force water behind joints or lift a weakened coating. We trial a representative section to distinguish removable soiling from chalking, fading and permanent staining.

Access and washwater control

The access plan accounts for building height, ground conditions and pedestrians around the elevation. Sensitive plant and openings are protected. We control the washwater and lifted debris so contamination does not enter surface drainage or land on neighbouring property. Sections are treated consistently to avoid an uneven finished appearance.

Remaining marks and visible defects

We check the cleaned panels and explain remaining marks or visible defects. Failed sealants and loose fixings need repair; repainting is a separate treatment with its own preparation standard. If cleaning reveals water ingress, the cause needs investigating before further washing continues in the affected area.

Weathering can vary between elevations, so panels may finish differently even when the same compatible treatment is used.

Cladding Cleaning: common questions

Will cleaning restore faded cladding colour?

Fading and coating breakdown can remain after surface dirt is removed.

Can the same pressure be used on every panel?

No. Pressure must suit the finish, joints and condition of each panel system.

Does cladding cleaning include repainting?

Repainting is included only as separately agreed work.

Why test a small section first?

It shows how the coating responds and what appearance cleaning can achieve.

Can washing cause water ingress?

Unsuitable spray at joints can drive water inside, so direction and pressure need control.
